Modern Military Tactics and All Forms of Lean: Full-Day Workshop with Chet Richards

Reserve your space by registering now as there is *limited capacity* for this workshop.

Wednesday, August 24
8:45 AM – 4:45 PM
Kanban Global Summit
San Diego, California, USA

Your Kanban is lean and your software is Agile. Great! Now what? How do you use these internal capabilities to win in the external marketplace? For one answer, you might look to another highly competitive arena — the military.

Despite what common sense might tell you, it is not unusual for the best equipped or largest army to fail to perform as expected against smaller or lower tech opponents. One example is currently happening in Ukraine. It’s pretty common in the commercial world, too, where today’s tech power house is tomorrow’s fading memory.

Chet Richards, a close associate of the late Colonel John R. Boyd, will present a full-day workshop at the Kanban Global Summit to introduce the common foundation that underlies both modern military tactics and all forms of lean.

“Such ideas as agility, shaping the mind of the enemy, harmony among all levels, and perhaps most important of all, promoting—not just exploiting or responding to—uncertainty and disorder, were all either invented, re-discovered or inspired by Boyd.”

Colonel Frans Osinga
Dutch fighter pilot
