Avoid Using Blocked Columns on Kanban Boards

Accredited Kanban Trainer Daniel Ploeg notes that one of the common anti-patterns that he often sees with Kanban board design is the use of a Blocked column. Using a Blocked column seems fairly simple at first, but it ends up taking away a lot of important feedback and actions. Using a blocked column often leads to confusion in the workflow, unpredictability, longer lead times and the lack of leadership emergence. Read his blog to learn what not to do and what to try instead.

New Book: Deja de planear y comienza a acabar.: Historia de un agilista

Congratulations to Accredited Kanban Trainer Sergio Enrique Zamora Rubio, who has published his new book, Deja de planear y comienza a acabar.: Historia de un agilista. He shares the journey of an agilist and his need to do things differently, through the discovery of agile values, principles, and how he started to implement Kanban Method. The book accompanies the agilist while the reader learns about the foundations of agility and its benefits.
