Kanban Leadership Retreat Europe
Join with leaders and enthusiasts in the Kanban space including coaches, trainers, consultants, thought leaders and practitioners. This is an unconference where there is no set agenda. Participants bring topics they want to discuss and the agenda is planned on the first night of the event.
CHALLENGE – Question and confront established ideas. Present new material and advance the field of Kanban.
EXPLORE – Go deeper into existing concepts. Stretch the boundaries on Cost of Delay, Metrics, Flow, Games, Maturity Levels and more.
CONNECT – Put your heads together and create something new. Or, come together to offer advice regarding a challenge.
Bond with others during the 5-hour mid-day break in the beautiful local region. Recommended recreational activities are waiting for you. Get active or just relax.

The Venue Europahaus
The Extended Break!
You will stay in either the Alpendomizil Hotel Neuhaus or Hotel Strass. Both hotels are situated in the heart of Mayrhofen. They are in a quiet location in the beautiful Zillertal Valley. All rooms feature a private bathroom, cable TV and a seating area.
Guests can relax in different pools and saunas or get active and benefit from the guided hikes, just to mention a few options. Numerous mountain bike and hiking trails are also nearby.
Each Attendee registration will include 3 hotel nights with breakfast and you will be informed in which hotel you will stay once you register. Contact us directly at events@kanban.university if you have any special requests, need to leave early, or need to extend your stay. We will make reservations directly with the hotels on your behalf. Sorry, it is not possible to shift the KLR hotel nights to different dates or a different hotel.
The KLR venue is Europahaus where all sessions and dinners will take place. The hotel will be in walking distance from the Europahaus.
Enjoy the mid-day extended break between sessions!
You will have the time to discover the Zillertal Valley on Thursday and Friday during the mid-day extended break between 12:30 pm and 6:00 pm. Maybe you are up for hiking, biking, or climbing? You can take on the Cable Cars and go up to the mountains to have lunch. Or maybe you just want to relax at the hotel.

This Coach the Trainer session is for active AKTs looking to add Enterprise Scale Kanban to their training portfolios through Kanban University.
Enterprise Scale Kanban (ESK) is intended to take Kanban Management Professionals to the next level and help them understand not only the practices required to enable enterprise scale Kanban deployments but also leadership, culture, and organizational maturity required for effective large-scale implementation. The class brings techniques from Enterprise Services Planning (ESP), together with the Kanban Maturity Model (KMM) and an understanding of Leadership and its role in enabling deeper organizational maturity and scaling.
Students will learn the principles for scaling any business activity:
- Focus on quality
- Work yourself out of a job
- Improve organizational maturity
ESK will lead to the E-KMP (Enterprise Kanban Management Professional) credential (soon to be announced).
Eligibility to join the Coach the Trainer: Enterprise Scale Kanban Session:
- AKT must be fully approved to teach all three foundation courses (TKP, KSD, and KSI)
- AKT must have obtained the KCP Credential
- AKT must have provided KSI training to a minimum of 30 students
- AKT’s license with Kanban University must be in good standing
- AKT must have taken ESK training as a student

This new course is based on the learning objectives of the Team Kanban Practitioner while targeting the challenges many Scrum teams face when using the Scrum Framework within their organizations. Your opportunity is to teach them how to Scrum Better with Kanban!
This session will ensure you understand who the training is for, the course architecture, course exercises, and key marketing messages and materials.
