Kanban System Design (KSD) is the foundational Kanban University course for people who want to move beyond simply using a Kanban board and learn how to design an effective system for managing work and improving service delivery.

During this highly interactive two-day course, you will use the Systems Thinking Approach to Introducing Kanban (STATIK) to understand an existing system of work and design an appropriate Kanban system around it. You will explore flow, pull, work item types, classes of service, visualisation, policies and the practical application of the Kanban Method.

You will leave with a structured approach you can use to introduce or improve Kanban in your own team or organisation.

This course is accredited by Kanban University. Kanban System Design is the first step towards the Kanban Management Professional (KMP) credential. Students who complete both this course and Kanban Systems Improvement (KSI) will receive the Kanban Management Professional credential. No assessment is required.

Kirill Klimov is a Kanban University Accredited Kanban Trainer (AKT) who helps organisations use modern management methods and frameworks to drive change.

He is an accomplished technology leader with over 20 years of experience encompassing software engineering, product delivery, operational excellence and enterprise transformation.

Venue / Location

This is a Live Virtual Remote / Online class. You can find out more about our live virtual training.

You will attend online and be able to see, hear and interact with the trainer and other attendees. The course covers the same learning objectives and material as an in-person class.

Attendees interact throughout the course by joining discussions and taking part in group activities and exercises. The course is broken into manageable sections with regular breaks to allow time away from the screen.

The class will run from 09:00 to 17:00 each day in the time zone in which the class is scheduled.
