Display of Kanban University class alumni information
When a Kanban University Accredited Kanban Trainer submits your personal data for the purpose of issuing a class certificate or credential, you are automatically set up as a “member” of Kanban University: a Kanban University Class Alumni with an account on the Kanban University website. Your automatically created Kanban University Alumni profile page contains:
- Your full name, as submitted by the class instructor
- The class(es) you attended, including class name, class type, date, location, instructor
- Your digital class certificate of completion and/or your digital credential
- Any additional information that you have added, including a bio or photo
- Your contact information is only ever visible to you, your Accredited Kanban Trainer and Site Administrators unless you have explicitly added a public email address to your profile
In addition to the profile page, your full name (and photo, if you chose to upload one) may be displayed in the Kanban University Alumni directory on the Kanban University website and on the class page for each class you attended.
Your profile can be set to one of the four states:
- Visible – Your profile will be visible to any site user or visitor
- Restricted – Your profile will be visible only to other members of your class, your Accredited Kanban Trainers, and Site Administrators
- Hidden – Your profile will only be visible to you, and Site Administrators
- Removed – Your profile and all data associated with it will be removed from the system, once removed you will not be able to obtain a certificate from the system
How your profile is initially setup depends on how your Accredited Kanban Trainer enters your class information. If a class is created in the system as “Visible,” then all created profiles will have a default of “Visible.” If a class is created as “Restricted,” then all created profiles will likewise default to “Restricted.”
If your profile already exists in the system and you take a class which is entered as “Visible,” then your profile will be automatically modified to be “Visible.”
You may log into the site and edit your profile to change it to “Visible,” “Restricted,” or “Hidden” at any time. If you wish to have your profile “Removed” or if you need help with changing your profile, please email info@kanban.university.
